The Salen Jetty Shop is the nearest shop with an excellent range of provisions and off license, great for stocking up on essentials. In nearby Acharacle there is a Keystore supermarket, cashpoint and post office with a good range of provisions. It is open 7 days a week with a small bakery next door. In the summer months Produce Markets take place in Acharacle Village Hall, where local produce such as those from Shielfoot Organics and crafts can be purchased, along with the chance to enjoy homemade soups and baking.
A little further afield in Glenuig is the Ardshealach Smokehouse & Fine Foods where you can buy local smoked fish, cheese & meat.
For larger supermarkets you will have to travel to Mallaig where there is a co-op or Fort William for Morrisons, Lidl and M&S food store.
For light meals there is the Ardnamurchan natural history centre which is open every day but Saturday. In the comfort of their tearoom, named for its view of Loch Sunart, they serve a tempting range of light lunches and afternoon teas. Home baking and traditional Scottish recipes are their specialty.
